Who is behind Kieznah

Kieznah is a private, independent project by a Berliner who has known the west of the city since his school days. There is no publisher, no agency and no client behind it. The publisher's personal recommendations are marked as Signature on Kieznah, and the legal details are in the legal notice.

How we work

• Measured, not guessed: we measure walking times and the length of running loops on OpenStreetMap footpaths, and we draw our maps ourselves from the same data.
• With source and date: prices, hours and dates come from operators, organisers or official bodies. Every page carries the date we last checked it.
• If we are not sure, we leave it out: better one place fewer than a claim we cannot back up.
• No paid mentions: Kieznah is ad-free. Nobody pays to be listed here.
• Open about connections: where the publisher knows the people behind a place personally, we say so.
• AI as a tool: AI tools help with research, translation and first drafts. Every text is checked for content and taken responsibility for before it is published. We do not generate photos of real places with AI.

Spotted a mistake?

Berlin changes fast. If something is no longer right, write to us at hello@kieznah.de, ideally with the page and the source. We check every tip and correct it with a new date.
